Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.43% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 797,517 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 38,342 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,341 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production reached 806,968 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.46% decrease compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 35.11% of total electricity consumption on Friday, imported coal plants held a 19.70% share while hydropower plants comprised 17.40%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 9,851 megawatt-hours while imports reached 400 megawatt-hours.
