Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.26% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 928,817 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,729 megawatt-hours at 12.00 local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,265 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 925,586 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.36% decrease compared to Thursday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 26.7% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants contributed 20.9% while wind plants comprised 16.6%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 8,751 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 12,152 megawatt-hours.
