Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.12% on Friday compared to the previous day to reach 821,352 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 39,914 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 28,930 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 833,246 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a 0.18% decrease compared to the previous day.
While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 38.05% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 23.35% share while lignite plants comprised 13.67%.
On Friday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 12,104 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 210 megawatt-hours.
