The average electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for the week ending February 18 decreased by 3.87 percent to 169.77 Turkish liras compared to previous week ending February 11, according to Turkey's Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data on Sunday.
Last week the average electricity rate for one megawatt hour was calculated as 176.62 liras.
The highest electricity rate for one megawatt hour in the day ahead spot market for this week was 217.38 liras on Tuesday and the lowest was 29.99 liras on Thursday.
EXIST data for the trade volume in this week's electricity market totaled 489.62 million liras.
US$1 equals 3.75 liras, according to Turkey's Central Bank data.
