19 killed in chopper crash in Russia's Sahka Republic
At least 19 people were killed when a helicopter crashed and burnt in Russia's Sakha Republic

MOSCOW
At least 19 people were killed when an Mi-8 helicopter fell after crashing to a mountain in Russia's Sakha (Yakutia) Republic early on Tuesday.
Statement released from the Sakha Ministry of Emergency Situations said that due to strong airstream, the chopper lost control, crashed a mountain from its tail end and a fire broke out.
It was said there were 28 people including 11 children in the helicopter.
Statement noted that 8 of the children in the chopper were under the age of 13.
