Anti-government protesters in Ukraine have occupied a government building in the capital on Friday morning.
The demonstrators broke into the central building of the ministry of agricultural policy to keep warm with temperatures expected to plunge to around -17 degrees Celsius.
Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovych and the opposition leaders held a meeting on Thursday night that lasted for 4 hours. After the meeting, the leader of the opposition party Batkivshchyna, Arseniy Yatsenyuk said "We want to stop the bloodshed. We have a big opportunity ahead of us to do it."
Ukraine Prime Minister Mykola Azarov also talked about the anti-government demonstrations, said the government could only resign with parliament's decision. Azarov described the situation in Ukraine as "attempt coup d'etat."
Also on Friday, France has recalled its ambassador back from Ukraine, said Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius to a national TV channel. He said France has showed its attitude of condemning the events in Ukraine.
Ukraine's parliament is expected to hold an emergency meeting on Tuesday next week. The anti-government demonstrations started on January 19th, killing at least three people and wounding hundreds of police and protesters.
