TUZLA (AA) - Members of the Defense Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina were officially escorted on Thursday to the operation of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission in Afghanistan.
This is the seventh time that the Defense Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are sending soldiers to Afghanistan.
The training of this unit lasted six months, and assessments of their capacity for the ISAF mission were carried out by members of the Bosnian and Danish defense forces.
45 soldiers, including 3 women, departed for Afghanistan.
The first group of Bosnian units went to Afghanistan in October 2010 and the rotation of troops is conducted every 6 months.
