GAZA CITY

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu phoned Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh to offer his condolences over the death of the latter's granddaughter, a Gaza-based news agency reported Thursday.
The Al-Ray, which is affiliate to the information ministry in Gaza, gave no further details.
Amal Haniyeh, who had been fighting a serious illness for the past ten days, was pronounced dead in a Gaza City hospital on Tuesday.
Clinically dead since November 18, Amal – the daughter of Haniyeh's eldest son – was moved last week to Israel's Schneider Children's Medical Center for treatment of a digestive infection that had damaged her brain.
The family, however, later decided to bring her home after being told her condition was incurable.
