ANKARA
Chairman of the Justice and Development (AK) Party and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday said that they would closely watch the measures to be taken in Syria as part of the Annan Plan.
Speaking at a group meeting of his AK Party at the Turkish Parliament, Erdogan said that the Syrian administration continued attacking civilians despite stating that they were acting according to the Annan Plan.
The Syrian regime tries to gain time with their acts, Erdogan said.

Two Turkish journalists are still being held by the Syrian administration as prisoners of war. The Syrian administration needs to give us a reply on the two Turkish journalists, Erdogan emphasized.
The Syrian administration must fulfill the demands of its people for a constitutions that would take under protection basic rights and freedoms. Freezing the problem or postponing its solution only gives more time to the Syrian administration, Erdogan stated.
Touching on the Istanbul summit that took place between the P5+1 countries and Iran on the latter's nuclear program, Erdogan stressed that the summit took place in a constructive atmosphere and increased hopes for a solution.
