ANKARA
Turkish interior minister said it was confirmed that Syria assisted KCK, the alleged urban network of the terrorist organization PKK.
Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin received Margherita Boniver, chair of the Italian parliamentary committee on Schengen and immigration issues, in Ankara.
When an Italian reporter asked whether he expected a terrorist attack in Turkey due to its attitude on crackdown in Syria, Sahin said Turkey considered that the stance by Syrian administration did not comply with basic human rights, universal values and democracy and that's why Turkey assumed an attitude supporting the Syrian people.
However it was found out as a result of some intelligence that Syria supported terrorist organization KCK, he said.
Turkey took necessary measures on its border, he said.
