Global economic crisis did not affect Turkey negatively
We must believe the global economic crisis would end, said Celik
ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Minister of Labor and Social Security, Faruk Celik on Monday attended the International Labor Organization's (ILO) 9th European Regional Conference in Norway.
Addressing the general assembly of the 9th European Regional Conference, Faruk Celik stressed that the current economic crisis was neither the aged world's first crisis nor the last one.
We must all believe that the global economic crisis would end and move accordingly, Celik underlined.
What we have to watch out for here is to get over the crisis with minimum damage and make progress on the way to growth again, Celik noted.
Celik told the participants of the Conference that Turkey, with political stability in the last decade, became one of the few countries of the world which was not much negatively affected by the global crisis.
Turkey was the country with most rise in employment during the crisis in G-20 countries, Celik underlined.
After providing information on employment in Turkey, Faruk Celik added that the Turkish government implemented incentive packages in order to revive the labor market.
