ANKARA (AA) - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister for economy Ali Babacan on Sunday left for the United States to participate in a series of meetings of the World Bank, IMF and the Group of 20.
Babacan will tour New York, Atlanta and Washington and a large delegation from Turkey's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges will accompany him.
On his first stop in New York, the Turkish deputy premier will take part in a United Nations gathering as well as in NASDAQ meetings and meet with officials from Citibank.
On Tuesday Babacan will proceed to Atlanta and meet with the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as well as with Georgia Governor Nathan Deal.
On his last stop in Washington, Babacan will participate in the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the IMF and he will also hold a series of bilateral meetings.
