Egypt's Morsi calls on Syrian rebel groups to support opposition coalition
Egypt's president urged anti-Assad forces to extend support to Syria's main opposition coalition for "a new and democratic country."
"All opposition groups in Syria should support the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces and develop and integrated perspective to build a new and democratic Syria," Mohamad Morsi said.
Morsi also appealed to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, saying, "the government in Syria should read the history and get proper lessons. Governments come and go but peoples stay. Those who do not think about people but themselves will eventually fall."
