Paris Saint-Germain's 32-year-old Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be out of action for at least 2 weeks, the club's chairman announced Thursday.
PSG's Qatari chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, said that the Swedish international suffered a knee injury and would miss out on the second leg game of the UEFA Champions League quarter finals against England's Chelsea, set for April 8.
"It's a muscle problem, and it is not certain whether it is related with his calf or hamstring," Parisian giants' coach Laurent Blanc said.
He said Zlatan would need a certain amount of rest.
It is expected that PSG's Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani will be on the pitch instead of Zlatan in the game against Chelsea.
The Swedish star scored eight goals in ten UEFA Champions League appearances this season.
