TUNIS
Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid has unveiled his new cabinet lineup, which includes one member of the Islamist Ennahda movement.
Speaking at a press conference in Tunis, Essid said his government had been expanded to include figures from several parties, including Ennahda and the liberal Afek Tounes party.
He also vowed that his government would "work tirelessly to serve the nation and citizens and realize the goals of the [2011] revolution."
The new government is comprised of 27 ministers and 15 deputy ministers, including Ennahda spokesman Ziyad al-Azari, who was given the labor portfolio.
Three deputy ministerial posts also went to Ennahda members.
The state-run TAP news agency reported that the new lineup would be presented to parliament on Wednesday for endorsement.
In Tunisia's 217-seat parliament, Essid's secular Nidaa Tounes party holds 86 seats, while Ennahda holds 69. The Popular Front and Afek Tounes hold 15 and eight seats respectively.
