RAMALLAH, Palestine

The Palestinian Health Ministry called Wednesday for international intervention to halt Israel’s attacks on Palestine’s health care system and provide urgent protection for its infrastructure.

The ministry issued the statement after the Israeli army raided a hospital in the occupied West Bank and arrested an injured Palestinian.

The statement called on international organizations including the International Committee of the Red Cross to intervene immediately to stop Israel's attacks on medical centers and personnel, urging the entire health care system be protected without delay.

Israeli special forces stormed Arab Specialized Hospital in the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank late Wednesday and arrested an injured Palestinian man.
