Jordanian king highlights Washington's role in advancing Middle East peace
King Abdullah II congratulates Trump on his inauguration, according to Jordanian Royal Court

Jordan’s King Abdullah II emphasized the US’ role in pushing parties toward peace and stability in the Middle East during a telephone call Saturday with President Donald Trump, according to the Jordanian Royal Court.
Abdullah spoke “with US President Donald Trump, congratulating him on his inauguration and wishing him success,” said the Royal Court.
He expressed “Jordan’s keenness to advance the strong ties and strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, and expand prospects for cooperation across all fields,” it said,
The King stressed “the pivotal role of the United States in pushing all sides to work towards achieving peace, security, and stability for all in the region.”
Trump was sworn Monday as the 47th President of the United States, succeeding Joe Biden.
