DAMASCUS
At least 63 people were killed in air and ground operations across Syria allegedly mounted by President Bashar al-Assad's regime on Tuesday, opposition activists have claimed.
The London-based Syrian Network for Human Rights watchdog said that 22 were killed in Aleppo, 13 in the suburbs of Damascus, 10 in Idlib, eight in Hama, seven in Deraa and three in Homs.
An additional report from the Local Coordination Committees of Syria (LCC) claims that the army staged also dropped barrel bombs on opposition-controlled areas.
Syria's state news agency SANA claimed that state forces had 'neutralized' a large number of opponents nationwide.
More than 100,000 people have been killed during the three-year conflict in Syria, which has also internally displaced more than 6.5 million people, according to the U.N. Over two million Syrians are now registered as refugees in neighboring Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq.
