1 person missing after building explosion in eastern France: Interior minister
Blast occurred on ground floor of building in Ain department on Monday, killing 2 people, injuring around 10 others

ISTANBUL (AA) - One person remained missing following an explosion in a residential building in the eastern French town of Trevoux, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said on Tuesday.
The blast occurred on the ground floor of the building in the Ain department on Monday, killing two people and injuring around 10 others, according to local authorities.
“There is one person missing,” Nunez told reporters, adding that search operations were still underway a day after the incident.
Emergency services, including firefighters and police units, have been deployed to the site, while investigators continue to determine the cause of the explosion, BFM TV reported.
No official information has yet been released on whether the blast was accidental or linked to criminal activity.
Authorities said further updates would be provided as rescue and investigation efforts continue.
