Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 10% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 798,276 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Monday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 37,379 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 27,952 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 800,611 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of about 10% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 37.6% of total generation, while solar and wind plants contributed 14.5% and 13.3%, respectively.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,880 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,148 megawatt-hours.
