ANKARA
Anadolu Agency (AA) continues efforts to directly annouce results of Turkey's upcoming presidential election from poll stations on August 10 following its successful coverage of local elections in March.
The agency became a news hub for national and international media during the local elections and again aims to provide direct results of the presidential election whose candidate will be elected by popular vote.
A team consisting of technicians, software experts and correspondents will do their best to truthfully and swiftly announce the results as the coverage will be broadcast in seven languages.
Anadolu Agency staff will also continue to provide immediate developments from provinces and districts before, during and after the election in a bid to inform public opinion.
The results will also be supported with maps and graphics.
The results of the polling stations formed in abroad and customs stations will also be announced to the agency's subscribers in detail.
Citizens can also receive the results of the election via short message service of GSM operators inside and outside Turkey, and they can access the results of any district or province they wish.
Nearly 85 percent of media outlets got results of the local elections from Anadolu Agency, who had 1,500 reporters in the field and 95,000 data providers covering the elections under its Local Elections 2014 Project.
The first round of the presidential election will be held August 10. If no candidate receives the required 51 percent of the votes in the first round a run-off will be held August 24.
