At least 88 people were killed June 3 by armed bandits in Kebbi State, police confirmed on Saturday.

Police spokesman in the region, Nafi’u Abubakar, said unidentified gunmen conducted attacks in eight areas of the region.

Abubakar said security forces were dispatched to the region and investigations were launched.

In April, nine police officers were killed in an attack by gunmen in the state.
