BEIRUT (AA) - Osama Hamdan, Hamas' chief foreign relations official, underlined Tuesday the strategic role Turkey plays all over the world.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency, Hamdan evaluated on a visit of Hamas' senior officials to Turkey and said, "The strategic role that Turkey plays in the Middle East and across the world is vitally important."
Hamdan said the main agenda of the meetings in Turkey were Israel's policies of turning Jerusalem into a Jewish city.
The problem of national reconciliation between Hamas and Al-Fatah will be handled during the meetings, Hamdan said.
Stressing Hamas focused too much on the bloody scenarios in the region, Hamdan said Hamas should redirect its way towards Israel.
The meeting of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan with Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh and the leader of the Hamas political bureau, Khaled Mashal, take place in Turkish capital, Ankara.
