Egytp's Supreme Presidential Electoral Commission (SPEC) released the list of candidates who will run in the presidential election that will be held in Egypt on May 23 and 24, 2012.
Presidential candidates announced in a statement posted on the website of the electoral commission are as follows:
1. Abu Al-Izz Al-Hariri / Socialist Popular Alliance Party
2. Mohammad Fawzi Issa / Democratic Generation Party
3. Houssam Khairallah / Democratic Peace Party
4. Amr Moussa / independent
5. Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh / independent
6. Hisham Bastawisy / the National Progressive Unionist Party
7. Mahmoud Houssam / independent
8. Mohammad Salim Al-Awa / independent
9. Hamdeen Sabahi / independent
10. Abdulla Alashaal / Authenticity Party
11. Mohamed Morsy / Freedom and Justice Party.
