GAZA CITY
At least two Palestinians were killed and 20 others injured when Israeli fighter jets pounded a house in Deir al-Balah town in central Gaza Strip, the Palestinian Health Ministry has said.
The fatalities brought the total number of Palestinians killed in Israel's ongoing air offensive against the Gaza Strip to 108 since Monday, Palestinian Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qodra told Anadolu Agency.
Other Israeli airstrikes left 23 Palestinians injured across the Palestinian enclave, he said.
The latest airstrikes rose the number of Palestinian injured in the Israeli onslaught to 810, al-Qodra added.
Earlier in the day, an Israeli airstrike that hit a residential house in eastern Gaza City killed three Palestinians and injured three others.
Israeli warplanes have pounded the strip over the past four days as part of a military offensive – dubbed "Operation Protective Edge" – with the stated aim of ending rocket fire from the embattled coastal enclave.
Gaza-based resistance factions, meanwhile, have continued to fire rockets into Israel in response to the unrelenting airstrikes.
