BAGHDAD
European Union's top foreign policy official said talks over Tehran's nuclear program between western powers and Iran saw agreement on "certain issues."
"We want to settle this dispute soon. We have reached agreement with Iran on certain issues. Our next meeting will be in Moscow on June 18," Catherine Ashton told after talks in Baghdad.
''We headed in the right direction''
"The continuation of the talks is a sign that we are headed in the right direction. There are open talks on the issues of 5 percent-enrichment. I will not go into detail. We have agreed on basic points," Ashton told reporters in a joint press conference with Iran's top nuclear negotiator Saed Jaili.
Jalili, on his part, said Iran believed that Iranian people had the right to nuclear energy for civilian purposes, adding, "we are against nuclear weapons and we will be."
