Bosnia: Van with radioactive material crashes, one dead
The van was carrying iridium-192, which is commonly used for industrial and medicinal applications. There was no radiation leak, authorities say.

A van carrying radioactive material, iridium-192, crashed into a car in northern Modrica city Friday morning, killing one person.
The substance iridium-192 is commonly used for industrial and medicinal applications.
The driver of the car was killed in the crash, while the van driver and a passenger traveling with him survived.
Police sealed the crash site to measure the radiation level. Bosnia's nuclear safety agency confirmed that no radiation leak was detected after the accident.
The crash occurred when the van was traveling between the northern cities of Bijeljina and Doboj, an official from the Modrica Municipal Civil Protection, Zeljko Terzic, said.
Bosnia's nuclear regulator Director Emir Dizdarevic told media that the van was transporting "apparatus with radioactive material" that belonged to a company from the city of Prijedor.
