Photo by Mamun Ebu Omer from AA Syria desk depicts a Russian airstrike in Aleppo

ANKARA
An Anadolu Agency photo depicting Russian airstrikes in Syria will appear on the cover of the world-famous Time magazine’s October issue.
The New York-based weekly news magazine revealed the issue dated Oct. 26 on Friday, showing the caption “Russia just wants to be friends” superimposed on a photo by Anadolu Agency’s Mamun Ebu Omer.
On October 13, Ebu Omer captured Russian fighter jets striking opposition-controlled Daret Ezza town near Aleppo.
Mamun Ebu Omer (https://twitter.com/Mamoun_sy) has been working as an Anadolu Agency photojournalist in Syria's second city since 2012.
"I wish Salih's photo were on the cover, " Ebu Omer said, referring to his colleague Saleh Mahmoud Laila, who was killed in a suicide car bomb attack north of Aleppo on Oct. 8.
