Activists said forces loyal to the Syrian regime on Saturday killed 101 people in offensives on several cities across Syria.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based human rights group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said forces loyal to embattled Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad used artillery in assaults in a number of opposition-held areas, killing 34 in Homs, 31 in Aleppo, 23 in suburbs of capital Damascus, and several more in other towns.
Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) reported that a Scud missile was launched from within 155th Brigade in Kalamun, Damascus, targeting the northern regions of the country. The opposition coalition said the regime forces in Mount Casion attacked Barza, Harasta, Zamalka, Cobar, and Eastern Guta, suburbs of the capital, with tanks and missiles.
The two year old civil war in Syria has left more than 80,000 dead and displaced nearly 4.3 million people, according to the United Nations.
