Türkiye's Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) on Thursday held a promotion and orientation meeting for Türkiye Scholarships, described as the country’s “global education vision.”

The meeting was attended by YTB Acting President Abdulhadi Turus and international students.

Speaking at the event, Turus said the presence of students from different countries studying together in Türkiye demonstrated that diversity is a source of global richness.

He emphasized that international students play a key role in promoting Türkiye Scholarships and said Türkiye has achieved a significant position worldwide in international education.

Turus described international students studying in Türkiye as symbols of a moral commitment, stressing that scholarship recipients are viewed as future contributors to their home countries rather than temporary guests.

“When you return to your countries, you will be the hope of your societies,” he said.

He added that Türkiye’s global education policy aims to help foster a more conscientious world, noting that the scholarship program seeks to strengthen shared humanitarian values alongside academic training.

Türkiye Scholarships program

Türkiye Scholarships has become a major component of international student mobility, receiving 125,668 applications in 2025, according to YTB. The program offers fully funded education opportunities at universities across Türkiye to students from around the world.

The scholarships cover university placement, monthly stipends, tuition fees, health insurance, dormitory accommodation, housing support, free academic and professional programs, and round-trip airfare.

Applications for the 2026 Türkiye Scholarships program opened on Jan. 10 and will remain open until Feb. 20. Applications can be submitted through the official website, turkiyeburslari.gov.tr.
