Turkish presidential advisor hosts US senior diplomat to discuss latest global events
US delegation reviews global agenda with top Turkish advisor

Akif Cagatay Kilic, senior advisor to the Turkish president on foreign policy and security, on Wednesday met with John Bass, acting under secretary of state for political affairs, and his accompanying delegation in the capital Ankara.
“During the meeting at the Presidential Complex, we discussed the relations between Türkiye and the United States, the latest situation in the Middle East, the massacres committed by Israel against the innocent Palestinian people, the rising concern about the nuclear threat with the Russia-Ukraine war and the latest developments in the region,” Kilic said on X.
Bass served as US ambassador to Türkiye in 2014-2017.
