Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday met with Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan bin Ali Al Thani.

According to diplomatic sources, Fidan held talks with Al Thani as part of his visit to Qatar.

Earlier, Fidan also held a joint press conference with Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

Fidan is on a tour to regional countries to discuss the ongoing war in the Middle East.

The tour came amid rapidly intensifying regional instability since the joint US-Israeli offensive on Iran started on Feb. 28, along with Tehran’s subsequent retaliatory strikes across multiple countries in the region.
