WASHINGTON

Türkiye's Ambassador to the US, Sedat Onal, on Thursday held a meeting with US Sen. Jeff Merkley in Washington, DC.

Onal and Merkley discussed "bilateral relations and opportunities to enhance cooperation in various fields," the Turkish Embassy said on US social media company X.

They also exchanged views on regional issues, including Iran.
