ISTANBUL
Turkish low-cost carrier AJet has launched new flights from Istanbul and Ankara to Tirana, the capital of Albania, according to a company statement.
The airline’s first flight from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport landed at Tirana International Airport, where it was welcomed with a ceremony.
Flights on the Istanbul-Tirana route will operate five times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
AJet also launched its first flight from Ankara Esenboga Airport to Tirana the same day. The Ankara-Tirana route will be operated twice weekly, on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Expanding the number of destinations it flies from Istanbul and Ankara, AJet is extending its flight network from Europe to the Caucasus and from the Middle East to North Africa.
