Turkey strongly condemned Friday's twin attacks on two mosques in Yemen's capital, Saana, according to a Turkish Foreign Ministry statement on Saturday.
The Badr and al-Hashoush mosques, which are frequented by supporters of the Shiite Houthi group, were attacked by suicide bombers on early Friday, which resulted in more than 100 deaths and at least 350 wounded.
"We wish God’s mercy on those who lost their lives, convey our sympathies to their families and wish for the speedy recovery of those wounded," the statement said.
Turkey supports national dialogue and reconciliation efforts towards the re-establishment of legitimate state authority in Yemen, the statement continued.
Yemen has been gripped by political turmoil since the Shiite Houthi group – who are accused of receiving support from Iran – took control of the capital last September, from where they have sought to extend control to other parts of the country.
Friday's blasts were the first carried out against mosques since the Houthi takeover.
