Turkish customs officers seized 177 kilograms (390 pounds) of marijuana during an anti-narcotics operation at the Greek border, the country’s Trade Ministry said Thursday.
In a written statement, the ministry said authorities found the drugs in a truck entering from Greece at the Ipsala border gate in the northwestern Edirne province.
With the help of a sniffer dog, customs enforcement squads uncovered the contraband in 320 packages hidden in the vehicle, it added.
