ANKARA
A person believed to have links to perpetrators of the recent attacks on the headquarters of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party and Turkish Justice Ministry building has been detained on Monday at the Genel-Is union in Turkish capital of Ankara.
The person was taken into custody as part of a security operation conducted against 21 locations in Ankara, including the Liman-Is and Genel-Is unions on Monday.
Ankara Police confiscated many documents and computers as part of the operation.
Security forces have not yet reached Hasan B. and Muharrem K. believed to have staged the attacks on AK Party and the Turkish Justice Ministry. 15 people believed to have connections to DHKP-C were detained on Monday.
Among those detained on Monday were Gulten M., Ankara leader of DHKP-C, and Davut C., believed to have ties to the perpetrators at the Genel-Is union.
400 police officers are involved in Monday's operation led by Ankara Police Chief Kadir Ay.
