Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), called on Iraqi government to ensure the security and stability in the country.
Ihsanoglu expressed his concerns about the deteriorating political situation in Iraq.
Common effort and national consensus are necessary to prevent escalating violence in the country, Ihsanoglu addressed political and religious leaders in Iraq.
Ihsanoglu said that OIC was ready for every type of cooperation.
Meanwhile, Ihsanoglu left for Qatar to attend the 24th Summit meeting of Arab League that will take place on March 26 and 27.
