WASHINGTON
Turkish Embassy in Washington was one of the most popular foreign missions on Saturday to attract as many as 4,000 visitors as part of "Around the World's Embassies Tour" at the American capital.
Americans formed a long queue outside the embassy building to meet with and get a taste of the Turkish culture with selected examples of Turkish traditional marbling, handicraft as well as pastry, Turkish delight and wine.
"This is a wonderful event and we get to know different cultures. We wanted to visit the Turkish Embassy because Turkey is an important and an interesting country," one visitor told the Anadolu Agency.
More than 50 embassies will open their doors to visitors in the month long event.
