Türkiye beat Bulgaria in Volleyball Women's Nations League

ANKARA

The Turkish women's national volleyball team defeated Bulgaria with straight sets in a 2022 Volleyball Nations League match on Saturday.

Türkiye bagged a 3-0 victory with the sets of 25-19, 25-21, 25-16 in Pool 2 match in Ankara.

Turkish opposite spiker Ebrar Karakurt scored 20 points – including 15 attack points – to lead her team to the win.

Turkish captain Eda Erdem Dundar had 13 points.

Meanwhile, Bulgarian outside hitter Gergana Dimitrova scored eight points.

Fifth in the standings, the Turkish national team has six points with two wins.


Brazil are leading the league with nine points.

Türkiye will face Belgium on Sunday in Ankara to conclude week 1 in Pool 2.

Belgium, 12th in the league, have a 1-2 win/loss record.
