Bulgarian News Agency appoints new Ankara representative

ANKARA

Ayse Sali took over as the new representative for the Bulgarian News Agency’s (BTA) Ankara bureau in a ceremony at the agency’s office on Ataturk Boulevard in the capital city.

The event was attended by Anadolu Deputy Director General and Editor-in-Chief Yusuf Ozhan, BTA General Manager Kiril Valchev and Bulgaria’s ambassador to Türkiye, Anguel Tcholakov.

Sali succeeded Nora Cholakova. She said she is pleased to represent BTA and hopes her reporting on Türkiye will help the Bulgarian public develop a deeper understanding of the country.

In his remarks, Ozhan wished Sali well and assured her of Anadolu’s full support, stressing the agency’s commitment to collaborate with BTA journalists worldwide.

The BTA Ankara bureau officially opened on Feb. 2, 2023.
