ISTANBUL

Saugella Monza from Italy were crowned winners of the women's 2021 CEV Volleyball Cup, beating Turkey's Galatasaray HDI Sigorta 3-0 in the second leg of the final on Tuesday.

Saugella Monza won the first leg 3-0 last week in Italy.

Monza clinched the Cup in straight sets, 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 in Istanbul.

Galatasaray chair Mustafa Cengiz handed silver medals to the Turkish team during the medal ceremony.

CEV Vice President Miroslaw Przedpelski gave gold medals and the cup to the champions.

Meanwhile, Saugella Monza setter Alessia Orro was named final's Most Valuable Player.
