British teen Raducanu marches into US Open semifinals

ISTANBUL

British teenager Emma Raducanu advanced to the US Open semifinals Wednesday with an easy win over Swiss star Belinda Bencic.

Raducanu, 18, defeated the Tokyo Olympic champion with sets of 6-3 and 6-4 at New York's Arthur Ashe Stadium.

She will face the winner of the match between Karolina Pliskova and Maria Sakkari.

In men's singles, world No. 4 Alexander Zverev qualified for the semifinals after beating Lloyd Harris in straight sets after two hours and six minutes.

Zverev, 24, will play against the winner of the Novak Djokovic-Matteo Berrettini match in the semis.
