Spanish LaLiga team Barcelona signed Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia from Espanyol on Friday.

Barcelona announced that they penned the contract with the 24-year-old until 2031.

While Barcelona said they paid the player's release clause, it was reported that the transfer was completed for a fee of €25 million ($28.7 million).

“I’m very happy, culers. I’m really looking forward to sharing great moments with you,” Garcia said. He bagged a gold medal with Spain in the men's football at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
