Atletico Madrid win La Liga for the first time since 1996
After 18 years Atletico Madrid win silverware with the 2013-14 La Liga title.

Atletico Madrid won Spain's 2013-14 La Liga title on point’s difference after drawing against Barcelona in the final on Saturday.
Dictating tempo of the game, as expected, home team Barcelona scored first via Chilean inside forward Alexis Sanchez's in the 33rd minute of the play.
Meanwhile in the first half Atletico Madrid lost Spanish striker, Diego Costa, and Turk, Arda Turan, to injuries.
Come the second half Atletico Madrid pressurized Barcelona's side of the pitch resulting in Uruguayan center-back Diego Godin's scoring through a header from the corner in the 49th minute to equalize.
In the remaining time left Barcelona spent considerable time in Atletico Madrid’s half, but could not make it count.
Therefore Atletico Madrid, three points ahead of Barcelona on the table, won Spain’s La Liga title for the first time since 1996.
