Russia claimed on Wednesday that its forces had taken control of another Ukrainian village.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement that the village of Gerasimivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region was captured by the Vostok (East) group of forces.

The ministry also said Russian forces conducted a series of strikes across multiple fronts overnight, targeting Ukrainian military production, transport infrastructure, and troop concentrations.

According to a statement, operational-tactical aircraft, strike drones, missile forces, and artillery units struck a Ukrainian naval drone assembly and testing center, transport infrastructure used by the Ukrainian military, workshops producing long-range attack drones, and temporary bases of Ukrainian units and foreign mercenaries across 143 districts.

Russian air defense systems reported shooting down 180 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.

Separately, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed a strike on an oil refinery in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban in Russia's Krasnodar region.

It also claimed to have struck the Nikolaevskaya oil depot in the Rostov region, where a storage tank and the river vessel Captain Gibert were allegedly damaged.

Kyiv also said its Sunday strike on a drilling platform in the Caspian Sea had halted the operation of all 14 wells, stopping nearly 3,500 tons of gas production per day.

Independent verification of the claims of both sides is impossible due to the ongoing conflict, which is nearing the four-year mark.
