Russia claims to have captured another settlement in eastern Ukraine
Forces capture village of Komarivka in Sumy region, according to Russian Defense Ministry
MOSCOW
Russia on Wednesday claimed that another Ukrainian settlement came under the control of its forces in the past day.
"As a result of active and decisive actions, units of the Sever group of forces liberated the village of Komarivka in the Sumy region,” a Russian Defense Ministry statement said.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian General Staff said Russia carried out overnight attacks using 113 drones and three Iskander ballistic missiles.
According to the Ukrainian military, 89 of the 113 drones and two of the three missiles were successfully intercepted.
Ukrainian authorities said that some drones were still in the air, air defense operations were ongoing, and urged residents to remain alert.
