Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, speaking with the media in Belgrade before the next meeting with his Kosovo counterpart Hashim Thaci, announced that the two prime ministers intend to talk about the recent local elections and results, as well as about the future of the implementation of the agreements previously reached between two leaders.
The meeting will be held on Thursday in Brussels, and is one more step toward normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia.
Kosovo proclaimed its independence from Serbia in 2008. Over 100 states until today do recognize Kosovo's sovereignty, but Serbia is still not ready for that move.
Serbian PM told the media that he is afraid of the possible problems related to the functioning of the municipality court in Mitrovica, the city divided in Serbian and Albanian parts.
“Pristina believes we want to create state inside the state, and we only want to have the court administration that mirrors ethnic structure of population in this city,” Dacic said, adding that he is afraid Kosovo leader will refuse this.
Serbian PM also expressed his hopes that EU will decide in the next two weeks about the negotiation framework with his country.
