LONDON (AA) - The foreign ministers of eleven countries will convene in a meeting on Syria in British capital of London on Tuesday.
Within the scope of the Geneva 2 Conference, the meeting on political ways of ending the Syria crisis will be held at the Lancaster House of the Foreign Office.
The "London 11" meeting will host Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as well as the foreign ministers of Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and US.
Representatives of the Syrian National Coalition are also expected to attend the meeting.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague expressed wishes of achieving a political settlement to the crisis and of discussing preparations for the Geneva 2.
Foreign ministers are expected to persuade Syrian opposition members to attend next month's Geneva peace conference. Moreover, the Syrian National Coalition is expected to announce its decision at the beginning of next month.
The former president of National Coalition for Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces Mouaz al-Khatib said he would not join the Geneva 2 Conference unless women and children held by the Syrian goverment were released.
Khatib said, in a statement, over consulting with his trustworthy friends, he decided not to attent the second part of Geneva Peace Conference without seeing the release of detainees from the Syrian goverment.
He added that the condition he put is both “humanistic and moral” which demands Syrian regime to take action before the conference.
Arab League chief Nabil Al-Arabi had anounced that they agreed on the date of conference to be held on November 23.
