BISHKEK (AA) - Asian heavyweights' summit in Bishkek ends with a call on the US not to attack Syria and appeals for political solution to 2.5 years old crisis in the Middle Eastern country.
The leaders of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) convened in Kyrgyzstan's capital amid the US threats over Syria regarding its use of chemical gas on civilians. Russia and China, Syria's staunch supporters, increased their voice against the US' possible air strike on Damascus. A Russian proposal to place Bashar Assad's chemical stockpile under international control is hoped to avert such an attack.
